Carvoeiro is an old
fishing village were many of the old style fishing boats can be found on
the beach still plying their age old trade. Although there is
the old traditional style of life still alive, there is a bustling
modern one with a choice of restaurants, bars,
shops, etc. In fact something to cater for all tastes plus.

The coast line in this area is
in many peoples opinion the most attractive of the Algarve you
have small beaches hidden in secluded bays, long sweeping
beaches at Armaçao de Pêra, statuesque rock formations, and miles of
cliff top pathways so enabling the visitor to enjoy the magnificent
scenery and local flora and fauna.
The inland areas
around Carvoeiro are made up of gently rolling hills and tree filled
valleys, the main varieties being Carob, cork oak, fig, and of
course the native almond tree which in the early spring gives a
wonderful display of white and soft pink flowers.

The country side in this area is ideal for
the person who is looking for a peaceful tranquil location for their
holiday home with out being any great distance from town beaches or
the airport. This area of the sunny Algarve has something
offer all, from the very young to the not so
young.
