The coast line in this area is in many peoples opinion the most attractive of the Algarve you have small beaches hidden in secluded bays, long sweeping beaches at Armaçao de Pêra, statuesque rock formations, and miles of cliff top pathways so enabling the visitor to enjoy the magnificent scenery and local flora and fauna.

The inland areas around Carvoeiro are made up of gently rolling hills and tree filled valleys, the main varieties being Carob, cork oak, fig, and of course the native almond tree which in the early spring gives a wonderful display of white and soft pink flowers.
